25 Engineering undergraduate students from Qatar University spent the morning with Leanne Caret, Boeing Defense, Space & Security CEO as part of an ongoing collaboration to help develop the next generation of engineers in Qatar.
Commenting on the collaboration, QU-CENG Acting dean Prof Abdelmagid Hammuda said, “The College of Engineering (CENG) is proud to be involved in such exciting cooperation with Boeing which includes a series of events and activities to help students with their future careers in the vast word of aerospace and it is done in a way that enhances their capacities, build skills and connects them with industry experts and professionals.”
“These students are the future dreamers, innovators and leaders of Qatar’s engineering industry. At Boeing, we build the future every day, and I was thrilled to share some of the exciting possibilities that are enabled by a career in aerospace. By applying their passions and talents to take on the most difficult challenges, these bright young people are on their way to making the world a better place,” stated Caret.
Boeing and Qatar University have been working together for 3 years to expose students to real engineering design challenges, industry experts and the world of aviation.
