Qatar University (QU) accepted 668 students to graduate programmes of different majors, 43.8% of which are Qatari, which shows the expansion of the academic programmes in the University.
QU said 1,576 students applied to the university which accepted submissions between January and April 2018. QU Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies Dr Mariam al-Maadeed said the university spares no effort to provide all forms of support to the students in this advanced academic phase. She urged the students to exert further effort in their studies and make use of all the opportunities provided to develop their capacities and capabilities.
For his part, Dean of Graduate Studies Dr Ahmed El Aatahry said there are 41 graduate programmes in the university, in addition to a graduate certificate programme in legal studies which was specifically designed to give students who have not achieved the cumulative average required to enrol directly in Master’s programmes and give them a chance to improve their average. He added that the university provides the appropriate environment to support students and extend them with direct care through a harmonic administrative system between the research and graduate department and the different colleges of the university.
